From YouTube:

We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer (=2,147,483,647 views), but that was before we met PSY. “Gangnam Style” has been viewed so many times we had to upgrade to a 64-bit integer (9,223,372,036,854,775,808)!  Hover over the counter in PSY’s video to see a little math magic and stay tuned for bigger and bigger numbers on YouTube.

Just – WOW.  It’s like Y2K all over again.  People assume things too much I guess. ;)

Some thieves apparently broke into a building on Microsoft’s corporate campus in Mountain View, California over the Christmas holiday. They sole only iPads, leaving the Microsoft Surfaces (tablets) and computers that were likely laying around. The news at this site mentions that there were no sales for 4 weeks as reported from a retail tracking firm.  Ever since Microsoft stopped Silverlight development in favor of WinRT (Windows 8) based apps, and created that stupid flat menu system (this is the age of high-end digital 3D graphics is it not?) I knew this would happen.  I’m not sure why Microsoft is being ignorant in this regard (perhaps too arrogant?).  Look at this Apple tablet concept idea (fake):

Now look at this Microsoft tablet:

I’m telling you, whoever is in charge of this designed was on something, or has serious mental competency issues. This looks like the menu designed for little kids, and not for any serious computer user.  What do you think?

BP PLC (or just BP [formerly known as "The British Petroleum Company"]) has attempted for the first time to capture the oil leaking out from the Macondo well into the Gulf of Mexico. On Monday the company had stated that it had successfully installed a new cap using a much tighter seal, and will be testing it for the next 48 hours to check its integrity. If successful, BP could start to suck up all the oil via ships waiting at the surface.

The whiter parts of the image are greater concentrations of oil.

Ok, so I was reading about the consumer report regarding the iPhone 4. For those who don’t know, the iPhone series (3G, 3Gs, 4G) was created with a metal bracket around the sides of the phone (part of the phone aesthetics) which is also used as the phone’s antenna. The problem now is that touching the antenna area at the lower left side of the phone reduces the signal to the point reception can be lost. Not to hard for those right-handed, but easily done if your left-handed. Apparently the gap for the antenna is there, so basically you’re shorting it out. LOL :D

So the solution? So far the best solution is to get a cover for the phone – not such a bad idea anyhow, for protection. The runner up? Duct tape. :)

I don’t know about you, but if someone said to me “The brand new car you wanted now has a problem with the radio, but we’ve decided to charge you the same price.”, I’d go elsewhere, or wait for it to be fixed before buying. ;)
